Sarasota is different from most metropolitican city in US, it is homogeneous but not boring. Its architechture style is very southern although the function is various from private residence to goverment buidling. The use of bright color is very similar to Miami Art Deco during 1920 great depressions. The shape of window has more curves.

DetroitChicago > Hibicus inn is where I stay at Sarasota Area. This neat inn has a clean atmosphere with a gulf coast flavor. The interior is simple but functional, the building has a neat look which reminds me of Pensocola.

DetroitChicago > This Italian Renaissance style Mansion was built in 1916. Sarasota County purchased the property in 1986 which is now Phillippi Creek Park. The mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places and is now used for special events. In addition to the mansion the park has plenty of open space, fishing docks on the creek, a play area, a very nice nature trail, and a large gazebo which is popular for weddings.
